Removing our “masks” and living transparently before one another is something that Shaun and I are committed to…For there is not much that irks us more than a Christian who strives to appear as “having it all together”. What a crock!
No believer (until we are dead and with Jesus) has “it all together”!!!! Each of us is a work in progress.
How refreshing it is to take someone, whom we spiritually look up to, off the mental pedestal we’ve sadly put them on, and see him or her as a sinner just like you and me. A sinner saved by grace, and a sinner who is being transformed (throughout a lifetime of trials) through God’s great mercy.
Shaun and I can be such bone-heads at times, and it is just so cool to that God in His sovereignty, chose to record other bone-heads and their experiences in His word. What hope these recorded accounts give us!
